After a loved one passes, there is often a search for documents that are necessary to settle an estate whether it will pass within the probate process or outside of the court. Leaving a record of the location of these documents can help to prevent this from being a frustrating hunt for your family members.
There are two versions of the Personal Records Documents created by Summit County Probate Court:
- The yellow sheet [1] includes space for information from physician to financial records, vehicles, deeds, and more. It is most appropriate for those with assets and/or debts to document.
- The green sheet [2] documents much of the same information as the yellow sheet but on a smaller scale. It is for those with fewer assets, debts and credit cards to document.
Both documents have spaces for passwords and account numbers as well as crucial information that should be kept in a safe place so that it doesn’t fall into the wrong hands.
