Tuesday Musical Helps Court House Visitors Decompress

Feb 20, 2018

Summit County Probate Court and Tuesday Musical partnered to bring music to the atrium of the Summit County Court House on Wednesday, February 14, 2018.  The Escher String Quartet performed for those working in the courts, attending trials, or filing for their marriage licenses on Valentine’s Day.  The series of concerts for those in high stress work environments is partly funded by the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation through its Knight Arts Challenge.

“We hope that bringing art to the community, and to an unusual place like the Court House, allows employees and visitors a mental break,” said Summit County Probate Court Judge Elinore Marsh Stormer.  “Music gives even a casual listener an escape and a chance to recharge.”

Many from the court house brought their lunch to the atrium to enjoy the hour long concert.
