Court Is Grateful For Generosity Of Summit County

Jun 16, 2017

Summit County residents used their spring cleaning to improve the lives of our seniors. With the help of volunteers, Summit County Probate Court collected and sorted about 12 thousand pieces of clothing. The much needed clothing went first to indigent wards of the court in long term care facilities. However, the outpouring of generosity allowed the Court to provide as well to 25 more area agencies, including AMHA senior buildings, the Urban League, Snow Angels, Open M, Community Support Services and many more. Some of the Court’s volunteer Senior Visitors and Guardians were able to “shop” with their ward’s specific needs in mind.

Excellent resources for those wanting to continue to give and for those in need can be found through Summit County Info Line by dialing 211 or calling 330-376-6660 or going to www.211summit.org for information on local community clothing donations and much more.
